OnePlus 2 - Replacing the screen

1. Turn off your device by holding down the power button until the “Power off” option appears.
2. Use your finger to confirm that you want to shut down your OnePlus 2 and wait until the screen goes blank.

1. Insert a thin, flat, tapered spudger into the gap at the corner of your smartphone. There are several clips on the outside under the back cover. You have to disconnect them by moving the spudger around the entire smartphone one time. Alternatively, you can detach the back cover using your fingernails.
2. Then you can take off the back cover.

1. You can use the SIM Tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray. Press the SIM Tool into the small hole in the SIM card tray to remove it.

1. Remove all 18 Phillips screws that hold the plastic cover in place.
2. 6 Phillips screws are hidden under a rubber cover. Use a sharp object to lift out the cover.
3. Lift out the logic board cover. Carefully insert the pointed tip of the ESD spudger and lift the black cover. Also pry it out at other points.

1. If your OnePlus 2 is still on, turn it off now by holding down the standby button for about three seconds and following the prompt on the display.
2. Now you can detach the battery connector. Be very careful. Place the pointed tip of the spudger very slightly below the contact and carefully lift it up. The pictures show where you should put the spudger to avoid breaking off the little resistors even if it slips.
   The battery is slightly glued to the cover. You can warm it, ot remove it more easily.
3. Now lift the battery with the spudger and then remove it.

1. Disconnect the dock connector and the display button cable.
   Make sure you don’t break off the resistors/coils that are soldered onto the logic board.Pry the dock connector from the outside
2. Pull the flat cable off with metal spatula. The cable is sightly glued. Use the spatual to detach the glue.

1. Now you can disconnect the following connectors. Be very careful.
2. Insert the flat end of the spudger below the cover at the level of the charging port and carefully lift the cover. The stereo speakers are under it.
   Make sure you don’t break off the resistors/coils that are soldered onto the logic board.
   
3. Now you can remove them.

1. Now you can disconnect the rear camera connector. Be very careful.
2. Now lift out the old camera.

1. Now you can disconnect the front camera connector. Be very careful.
2. Now lift out the old camera.

The standby button and volume buttons are attached to separate ribbon cables, which are installed onto a flat cable.

1. First you have to remove the two black sticker on the standby and display connector. You can easily pull them off with a pair of tweezers.
2. Disconnect the standby connector
3. Remove the buttons
4. Remove the cable
5. Unscrew the screw that holds the mute button. Now you can remove the braket
6. Remove the mute button

• Displaykabel
• Antennenkabel

1. Now you can disconnect the following three connectors. Be very careful.
2. Place the pointed tip or flat end of the spudger very slightly below the contact and carefully lift it up. Make sure you don’t break off the resistors/coils that are soldered onto the logic board.

Please remove the little screw close the camera connector Achte darauf, die kleine Schraube unterhab der Kamers zu entfernen.

1. Now you can carefully lift the logic board using the spudger and remove it by hand.

1. Now remove the two ribbon cables, which are lightly glued in place next to each other.
2. It’s lightly glued to the frame. Carefully insert the flat end of the spudger below the cable and detach it.
3. Now remove it.

1. Now you can remove the antenna cable.

1. Remove the earpiece. Insert the pointed tip of the laboratory spatula or spudger below the earpiece. It’s sometimes glued firmly in place. If you still can’t detach the earpiece, you can use a heat gun to warm it slightly and soften the glue.
2. Now remove it.

1. Not all available displays have the same features. If necessary, you may have to transfer more parts than the ones we talk about here before installing your new screen.
2. Now remove the plastic film from the adhesive strips. (You can also do this later.)

• Now put the earpiece back in the appropriate position.

1. Now guide the antenna cable back through the little opening and connect it securely to the logic board.

1. Now put the seonsr cable back in their original positions.
2. Attached the small black sticker

• Antennenkabel
• Displaykabel
• Sensorkabel

1. Now put the logic board back in the frame.
2. Make sure the cables don’t get under the logic board.
3. Use the picture to check whether your logic board is positioned correctly.
4. Insert the little placeholder on the display connector.
5. Reconnect all the connectors to the logic board.

1. Install the mute button.
2. Fix it with the bracket using the screw
3. Install the standby button and the volume buttons again. Use the spatula to press them into the appropriate positions.

1. Now connect the new camera.
2. Then put the adhesive strips back on.

1. Now connect the new camera.

• Now install the cover with the stereo speakers and put them back in the appropriate positions.

1. Now put the dock connector and speaker cables back in their original positions.
2. The dock connector cable just goes on the speaker cable where the old glue holds it in place.

1. Put the battery back in and connect it.

• 18 × Phillips-Schraube
• 6 × Gummistöpsel

1. Now put the cover back on.
2. Then fasten all the Phillips screws again.
3. Don’t forget to put the little rubber plugs back in.

• Insert the sim tray

1. It’s very easy to put the back cover back on. Put it on in the correct position and press it on all the way around the phone until it’s completely clicked into place.
